Trajan band saws provide a cost effective alternative to the many other band saw manufactures such as Jet, Wilton, Ellis, FMB, Rollin, and Hyd-Mech with additional features that separate them from the competition.
What makes a Trajan different from other job shop saws?
The Trajan 812 has expanded on the “jet style” band saw to include
- An enclosed variable speed gear box
- The drive motor mounted directly to the gear box
- No Step Pulleys are needed
- except with a feed control cylinder
- a price less than a Rollin.
- double mitering capability up to 60 degrees in one direction
- with a sliding vise that can be positioned either in front or in back of the sawblade
- This is a feature not available on any Ellis, Wilton, Jet or Wells band saw
- a laser light
- the newer generation T-20 has a hydraulic vice and head lift
The Trajan 270 is similar, only in looks to the Hyd-Mech DM8 and FMB Titan. The Trajan 270 is available
- in 220 single Phase made with a frequency drive inverter. This allows for infinite variable blade speed of 60-300 feet per minute
- Being a single phase machine it is perfect for shops and garages where 3 phase power is not available
